how to detect faulty motherboard

    pc starts and nothing shows on the screen and no beeps. fans go and nothing else.

    i have tried reseting cmos
    i have tried a troubleshooting nic and it gave me a 50 error (Check for dual frequency in CMOS)
    replaced the cmos battery

    What else should I try?

    i had that problem too i fixed it by playing with the ram take one off ,switch em ...... try every possibility ....now my problem is in the ram-boot problem thread
