Windows 2000 Pro is my least favorite OS. [for a client, that is].
user is "in the ditch"... system cannot load his identity properly [corrupted registry ?] so it reverts, to the ORIGINAL manufacture profile [years back]

on any other system I would assume from this that System Restore were "Disabled" since the edge. I don't use Win2K so.....
Is System Restore "on" or "off" located the same was as it is on Win98, WinME, WinXP ???? under Control Panel, System settings, Advanced File system settings?

    thanks
