How to disable file protection in windows 7???

    For security reasons, I would advise leaving WFP on, however, you can "trick" it, by going upstream, and changing your files at the WFP source directory. (System32 being the destination directory, since that's where your files to be changed reside)

    I'm not 100% on Win7, but on WinXP, the source files (the ones WFP uses to replace bad ones in use) are located in %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\dllcache.

    I'd recommend renaming the source files instead of removing them, as if anything goes wrong, it will make for an easy restore.
