How To Enable/Disable Programs At XP Start?

I must be having a brain fart. I for the life of me, cannot remember how to control which programs start up when XP starts. It is driving me nuts. I have done it a million times but I cannot remember.

Stop snickering and help me out!

Start > Run > Type msconfig > OK > Click on the Startup tab.

Its not recommended to use msconfig to manage your startup entries. Use Startup Inspector for Windows 2.2 which i use to manage my startup entries.

Msconfig works fine. The important thing is to remember when uninstalling an application, you must re-enable those startup items so that they get removed.
