how to find and rid my computer of key logger.

    I think I have a key logger of some kind on my hp windows 8 computer. I have looked and can not find it. I will check on buying something on the internet, like boots or something I need and the next thing I know every website I go to is advertising these articles for sale. is this a known problem? is there a way to find and eliminate the logger? any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance. also a while back I had a problem with search conduit, but finally eliminated that.
