How do you get back your pictures that have been deleted from your recycle bin?
Several days ago, my bother borrowed my laptop to edit some newly taken shots and deleted them off from the recycle bin after transferring to his hard drive. However, these edited shots on his hard drive get some problems and are all corrupted recently. So, he is wondering whether it is possible for him to undelete them from my laptop recycle bin. Fortunately, I have not used this laptop after that day. So, it is possible for him? Help me, please!

There are many programs available out there; such as Recuva which might be assistance to you. You can download Recuva from right here at Major Geeks.

It is available as a freeware windows utility which often times has the ability to (possibly) restore a few or even many files which have been accidentally deleted from your computer.

For "ease-of-use" I highly recommend using Recuva. You can also find the Instructions Features, FAQ, Screenshots, aas well as the HELP files for Recuva here at the Piriform website

Side Note: I most definitely would also strongly recommend visiting the main website prior to using the program in order to get the most out of it. ;)

Once deleted from the recycle bin, the file locations are marked as free in the file tables. That means Windows and the drive are free to save new files in those locations - which they will readily do. And once new data is saved in those locations, the old data is effectively "wiped" from the drive, and totally unrecoverable. Even expensive forensic data recovery services would have a difficult time recovery any of it, let alone all of it.

That is fortunate, but still not a sure sign of possible success.

I agree with the suggestion to use Recuva. I have had good success with that. EaseUS Data Recovery is also good, but the free version is crippled, allowing only 2Gb of recovered data.

So, you in business with or are you Andrew Symonds? I see you have joining sites just to spam for this program. Not cool.

There are several more - many already deleted as spam.

I haven't gone through the other responses, so this may already be answered, but if you have something in the Recycle Bin that you want back, open your recycle bin then find the item thst you want back. Right click on it. then choose RESTORE. That's about all there is to it.:-D

Hi Bill...Report the spam please, don't respond to it...and for sure don't link to more on other forums.

    Sorry, and point duly noted.

I get really irritated with people who join "free" tech support sites just to spam and promote their "not free" products. I think the greed it demonstrates, besides typically violating the terms of use they just agreed to when joining, is unethical, but most importantly is a slap in the face to the helpers who volunteer their free time to help others.

So, sorry again for not just biting my tongue and using the Report Post button.
