How to Install Audio Driver

Hi i have a model VGC-VA202RB type V all in one, i reformat my pc and after that i dont have any sounds. I also check the Sound,video and game controllers. but there was no "!" here's the list: Audio Codecs,Legac Audio Drivers,Legacy Video Capture Devices,Media Control Devices,Sigmatel High Definition Audio CODEC,and Video Codecs .. I also check the service and make sure Windows Audio is Automatic and Started. So How can i get my sounds back? PLS help. Thanks in advamce!

Could you tell me what OS you are running?? I believe this to be a Japanese built machine?? did you get a recovery install disc with your machine??

yea it is a japanese machine.. no i dont have a recovery disc

 

windows xp professional sp2,http://vcl.vaio.sony.co.jp/download/EP0000156867.html .,I already downloaded that and try to install but it says.. Not correct machine.. So i Decided to get many Audio Drivers.. =.= I installed Sigmatel Audio Driver. And i thought i have already sounds. because the speaker shows in the traybar. but when i restarted it, nothing happens..

 

By the way i already use this as Xp professional sp3. and my drivers are all fine. but now that i reformat it. It is all gone. so i know, maybe i dont need a driver from the japan site. there is alternative but i do not know which is.. sorry for my bad english

 

Hi i dont have that CD, i already install SigmaTel and the Speaker icon appears in the traybar,but the problem is still no sound

I think that you maybe missing the UAA driver seeming that you are still at sp2, download from here...

and reboot your system. once installed i would strongly advise that you upgrade to sp3.

 

Helow ian i will download that. And i will tell you if that works.
I guess i cant upgrade to sp3 because im using a pirate xp sp2.

 

I already installed it but nothing happened. I restart my pc and after that Speaker icon gone in system tray. and then if i try to go to setting and click the Place volume icon in the taskbar. It says Windows cant display volume control on the taskbar because the Volume Control program has not been installed.

pls tell me what should i do T.T

 

Helow I have noticed that there is a unknowed devices, and it is Multimedia Controller? is this affects my Sound? or not?

 

By the way ive got sound, when i connect a headset but in speaker it dont have. What is the problem?

but the sounds in headset is very too low

 

Anyway thanks for your help... i reformat my pc and make it windows 7 and check for updates and ive got my drivers. thank you..
