Hi again everyone and hope Saturday was good for you all.

There is a music site http://www.bootlegzone.com/ that when I attempt to log in with i.d./password it comes up as "invalid" even though I did a few things that I thought would prevent this on going saga.

I cut/pasted from their confirmation email the i.d./password, I set the internet tools to allow cookies on that site and for Norton Anti Virus 2005 made the site okay.

What can I do now. Obviously Windows XP/Internet settings and or Norton isn't happy. Computer is from Spring 2003, P4, 250 GB, 1250 MB and 3.06 ghz

Have not had this problem before. The site keeps telling me others can log on fine.

Thank you for your help and be well,
    KEN

Did you try actually writing the ID and password in? Just a thought.

Thank you for your quick and excellent suggestion which worked the very first time!!

May I please ask you the most stupid question in world history? Why did it work?

Why wouldn't the webmaster's own email cut/pasted and the fact I told Internet Options allow anything at the site and Norton too have done the trick?

What was it about typing by hand that the security functions on their end and mine were cool about it but freaked the other way?

    Thanks for your time!!

I don't know why. It worked for me in the same situation some time back. I would imagine that the cut and paste doesn't actually transfer the text characters that typing it in will insert. Maybe by accident you carried over a character that wasn't part of the password. A space perhaps.

    Anybody???

Next time when you are copy/pasting do this copy: ctrl+c paste: ctrl+v

This actually carrys over a copyed name/pw when you do the above.
