how to make text bigger in IE?

how can I make the text bigger in IE? I have tried changing fonts to "large", and I have the text set to "largest" in the IE options.. but this doesn't make the text on most web pages larger.. for example , I am typing this message right now, and the letters are too small. Is there any way to make them bigger?

 

This can help on standard web pages, though it doesn't seem to do much on the text-field, when typing this reply.

1. Start Internet Explorer
2. In the menu select Tools and Internet Options...
3. Press Accesibility button
4. Tick Ignore Font Styles
5. Tick Ignore Font Sizes
6. Press Ok button
7. Press Fonts button and select a font you like.

Else change to a lower resolution and everything becomes huge

while I was messing around with my display settings somewhow my task bar icons are all blurry now, everything else is fine.. what have I done here?

 

You should be aware that some web pages might gonna look a little weird since you are changing how the author intended the page should look.

Need to tell what version of Windows you are using, it will make it easier to help ya. (Going to bed myself now so hopefully someone can help you out, but probably something with "Show Icons using all possible colors")

 

i'm running XP PRO.. it happened after I changed the font size to "VERY LARGE" in windows, then changed it back to NORMAL.. fonts in the task bar are all blurry..

 

^ reboot fixed the problem
