i'm looking to monitor/control my home network. i have 4 computers connected through a belkin router. I found dozens of programs with names like Network Monitor, or Bandwidth monitro that dont do what i want.

I want to see whats going on on each computer from my PC. all these apps can monitor just 1. some use SN-- (dont remember exact name) which my router doesnt support. any recommendations?

    Hi

Yes sadly to run SNMP you would need a compatible SNMP ( Simple Network Management Protocol ) capable router and this would be the software to use http://www.paessler.com/prtg/download

this "may" and loosely say may do what you need http://en.lanctrl.com/ ( Active Wall, they have free version ) but does not support Vista at present if that is your OS.

Sadly for the home market the majority of monitors just do 1 PC at a time and are not centrally managed by one PC, hardware and software to do this is usually expensive.
