How to open an Toshiba labtop?

Has anyone ever worked on a Toshiba laptop. I'm trying to open one to see if I can replace or repair the power jack.
I have remover all the screws that I could see and it still will
not open.
Anyone?

 

Which Toshiba Laptop ?

I have never replaced the power jack on a Toshiba, only on less ruggedly made laptops. Normally you have to remove everything (drives, processor/heatsink/fan motherboard) to get at the solder side to do them. They are not easy.

Most laptops need to be opened from BOTH sides. That is there are retaining screws under bezels, keys etc on top. Also you will find that there may be retaining screws under tha battery etc underneath.

Bazza is right, I google it the same and finally I got the manual (and not from Toshiba site) for my model in particular in the manual they say how to dis-assemble one...

Thanks for all the input, but my friend decided to get a new laptop.

 

Sell the parts on Ebay, Tosh spares are fetching good prices.
