how to prove streaming block?

    hi all

here's what i am trying to accomplish.

i signed up for IPTV service with one kartinatv.us
    right here:
    http://speedtest.kartina.tv/
they have green buttons that will allow one to test internet speed connection to their servers. just press on a green button and let it do it's job.
they require at least 2mb connection speed, and 4mb for HD channels to stream.
i live in Seattle and had their set top box for several days as trial. surprisingly, works very well.
here's the thing. it also has a habit of occasional freezes now and then. also, towards 5 pm, connection speed to server will drop down badly, resulting in unwatchable tv.
when i noticed this, i checked my connection speed via kartinatv speed test; it was around 660kbps, making service useless. i did several speed tests, same time, via speakeasy server. each time, it showed anywhere between 5 to 12mb connection speed for my internet connection.
same time it was freezing on IPTV connection.
i asked kartina's local "tech" guy, who is an immigrant that spent only 3 yrs in the USA. he keeps insisting that problem is relevant to my ISP - Comcast.
to give him credit, Netflix, eg, has known issues with Comcast blocking its service.
i talked to another guy, who has subscription to kartina, but is on Verizon ISP - he claims to have NO issues whatsoever. I HAVE NO OPTIONS TO CHANGE FROM COMCAST, WHERE I LIVE.
local tech guy told me to do tracert off my computer to prove that Comcast does this.
    1. i can't make my pc do it
    2. IP address he gave me is not on the territory of the USA; 217.19.219.34; it comes up as one of kartina's oversee streamers. same IP address comes up in Mozilla, when doing kartina's speed test.

here's the thing. i really like their service, and already purchased STB and one year subscription, even with those freezing issues.
i need simple to follow advice, how to:
    1. find out if those lags are caused by kartinatv "server" in the US
    2. if they are not, have solid proof that Comcast does block or limit streaming, so that when I call them and bitch, I have solid proof on hand.

I'll seriously appreciate help. please, go easy on me. i am mid grade amateur in all this. i can follow clear instructions "how to", but that's about it. :-o

There is nothing to prove, Comcast has already released statements about speed and network management.

In your contract it states - Many factors affect speed. Actual speeds vary and are not guaranteed.

And there is an entire section on network management here Comcast Acceptable Use

That your speedtest.net numbers are different from your streaming number only shows that your main connection is not being overly managed. However, a stream may be managed by Comcast differently. The problem is not necessary with the stream provider, and Comcast stated they do this in 2008. There was a lot of outrage on the net before they came out publicly with the practice, and plenty more since.

ok. so it's no man's fault. :cry

let me re-phrase the question then.

    1. why does it stream grand for most of the day and starts choking at 5-6 pm? mof, out of 4 days i had that STB, 2.5 days streamed like a charm. and kartinatv speed test will be 4-5mb at 4:30 pm and 660kbps at 5:15?

    2. I am an easy guy. considering it all goes through set top box, CAT5 cable, router, and cable modem, what can I do on my end to avoid this?

and yes, I do live out in sticks. I have been fighting Comcast for continuously dropping connection for years. we have a "node" outside property, a small green metal tower that cable is connected to, that is prolly as old as Comcast service itself..

yes, it does make sense. where i'm at, it is super rural. node is very old and comcast sent numerous techs out there to check on my connection, but they replaced something in it only once in our 6 yrs in the house. node is shared by 4 houses.
    i have NO other options.

so far, it worked grand since monday, when i connected my IPTV STB. but it did minor freeze yesterday night, around 9pm. it was just a burp.
i turn stb off when we are done watching tv, so that we do not throw red flag into comcast's 250gb quota.
have no doubt should we have fiber here, that'd have fixed everything. but, like i said - we are just a peanut in comcast system.
    otherwise, i love this thing.

yes, i tried glasnost. it never worked. blips into "done" screen and then just sits with "glasnost is checking" message on. i left it running for long time, never got any response.
