My PC running Windows 7 was infected by Spyware Protection 2010 yesterday.

Thus far, all of my efforts to remove it have failed because it does not allow me to boot into safe mode, to run regedit, taskmgr, or msconfig, and does not allow me to install/run spyware removal software.

I've also tried renaming some of the spyware software (i.e. Adaware, Malware) to iexplore.exe but those have been shut down as well.

I've tried googling a variety of terms related to it but none of the solutions have been feasible at this point because of the myriad of things that Spyware Protection is preventing from running.

    Any help please?

By the way, this is a 2 month old Lenovo laptop that really has not had any additional software installed. I downloaded/installed PDFCreator yesterday afternoon, and ended up with this problem shortl thereafter :confused

Nevermind...was able to boot to safe mode by powering the computer down with the power button. Ran a couple spyware removal programs and all is well :celebrate
