how to remove trojan_spy.html.smitfraud.c.

I'm not a computer expert and found trojan_spy.html.smitfraud.c infected my computer (I use window XP). I had tried to follow some sugestion by deleting wp file. Now my screen was turn black from prevously blue with a warning massage. However Display properties is still only have screen saver & settings only. i really don't know:

a. Wheteher the virus is already removed from my computer? I already runned NoAdware v.2.0, Ad-Aware se, Norton Anti virus, The Cleaner
professional but none mention that the virus was found in my computer. If the virus is still in my computer, how can i remove it? Is there any free downloaded software (I'm a student and can not afford to buy expensive software) ?

b. Why everytime i open internet explorer i always directed to www.quicknavigate.com (Uninstall home page, powered by uninstaller XP). How to remove this site?

c. How to make window display properties back to normal? Should I reinstall the window

I hope someone can help give me a step by step advice since i am only no how to use computer. Thanks in advance.

First, please download the attached .zip file. Extract it to your desktop or a location of your choice. Once extracted, double click the file smitfraud.reg and click YES when it prompts to merge.

After you complete the above, reboot and post a HJT log.
