    Windows 10 version 1909 (build 18363.836)

    I use "Windows Update Blocker" to disable Windows update AND I pause all updates. Currenly my pause period ends 6/25 & updates will resume on that day. What I want to do is to extend the pause period into July or at least until I know there are few problems with the latest MS updates.

    How do I reset the pause period so that updates can be paused past 6/25 to sometime in July? Currently on the Windows Update page, the "Pause updates for 7 days" is greyed out. Do I wait until 6/25 and then again click on "Pause updates..." on the Windows Update page? Is there something else I should do?

    Or should I do the following on 6/25: (1) ensure disconnected from Internet; (2) Run Windows Update Blocker to ensure Windows Update process is disabled; (3) on Windows Update page, pause for another NN days??

    Thank you.

    I found the answer at AskWoody.com:

    Verify Windows Update enabled in services
    Windows update --> advanced options
    Select “Download Updates over Metered Connection…..”
    Turn off internet connection - WiFi, Ethernet
    Click “Resume Updates”
    You’ll get an error because there is no Internet connection
    Advanced options --> pause updates
    Choose update date from pull-down list
    Turn on internet connection
    Reboot
