How to save my software to a file??

I am planning 2 reinstall windows because there seems to be a pest i cannot get rid of,I would like to save all my softwares but it seems not possible as a simple export type of procedure,is there a step bye step process i can follow that step bye step??then to save my favorites from Avant+ firefox can i use this procedure for both of them??Go to BOOKMARKS on the menu. Then click on mange bookmarks. In the window that pops up, choose file, then export. Save the html file to your thumbdrive.Then how do i reinstall all my favorites rather then one bye one,but reinstall all in one go??any advise would be apreciated.thank you daniel. major:cool

 

Exactly where did those "softwares" come from? Were they installed from a CD? Downloaded? If downloaded and you have that original downloaded file, then save it to a CD, DVD, external hard drive, etc. If the programs were installed from a CD, then, of course, you would just reinstall from the CD once you've reinstalled Windows.

Does that answer that part of your question? You cannot "export" your programs and then import them back to your hard drive once You need to reinstall them to your hard drive once you've reinstalled Windows. If you have neither the CD or downloaded file, then you'll have to obtain it again in order to have that program again.

But, you can export your Firefox bookmarks and then import them back into Firefox on the newly configured system. In Firefox, go to File, Import, locate the file that you exported, and then complete the procedure. I'm not familiar with Avant but I'd bet it works the same way.
