How to Screen Capture Video in Windows Media Player

    How to Screen Capture Video in Windows Media Player.
    When pressing Print screen it just shows a black window.
    any ideas?

    You can try this:

    Open Windows Media Player
    Tools-->Options-->Performance Tab
    Click on Advanced button under Video Acceleration(bottom of page)
    Uncheck Use Overlays
    Click OK and give 'er a shot.

    Other suggestions I found:
    (If the above does not work) use Ctrl-I , this will pop up a save as window after capturing the screen.

    Lastly (if the above do not work), open WME-->tools-->options-->Performance
    Change Reduce the Video acceleration from default Full to None
    Close Media Player
    Open file you want to take a still of and click on Alt + Print Screen key. This will copy an image to your clipboard.
