How to sort toobar icons ?

Is it possible to sort toobar (created from right click on taskbar at bottom of desktop) icons alphabetically as (optionally) they are in the file folder the toolbar is created from ?

 

Raise the Toolbar then right click on the list then click on Sort by Name
You can also drag an item to wherever you like

I don't know why your Toolbar looks different
To create the Toolbar I right clicked on the the TaskBar > Toolbars > New Toolbar then selected the folder
As you can see when I right click on the list I get the option to Sort by Name. I also created and tested this with a My Documents Toolbar that contained only folders and got the same result.

 

MadMal,,When you right click My Computer,then Properties,then Advanced,then visual effects settings and uncheck all boxes,,it changes the look to classic(metallic gray). makes Windows faster. That's may be why the toolbar looks different. Just trying to help!!!!

I had a look at those effects settings and I can't see anything that would affect the right click Context Menu

I now remember trying those effects 'tweaks' a few years ago but I really do find the effects aesthetically pleasing especially shadows and the way a window 'shrinks' down to the Taskbar when minimized :cool
