Before anyone in this forum can help, you need to post more information than you have.

What OS are you using, looking at those pics you choices are:

    Windows XP
    Windows XP w/ SP1
    Windows XP w/ SP2

and which edition Home, Professional, or Corporate.

What firewall if any are you using?

What Anti-virus Package if any are you using?

The problem can be with the Internet Connection Firewall, the Windows Firewall, or something not even releated to the firewall.

But we are only guessing without your system info.

I have windows Xp professional, sp2, kerio firewall, Norton anti virus. I had all of these for quite some time. Nothing changed, except those warnings. If they are cause of these warnings.

This is definetly a Service Pack 2 issue.

Straight from Microsoft Help & Support:

This behavior is new in Windows XP SP2 because of the addition of the Attachment Execution Services (AES). Every program that is run by using the ShellExecute() API passes through AES. AES considers the downloaded update file to be from the Internet Zone. Therefore, AESdisplays the Open File - Security Warning dialog box. AES examines the file to see whether the file has a file stream of the type Zone.Identifier. Then AES determines what zone the file is from and what level of protection to apply when the file is run.

Windows thinks those files were downloaded from the Internet.

I'm not sure how to fix this. I need to spend more time researching the issue. Since, the MS article deals with downloaded updates.

No problem, just got back. I still need to figure out how to fix your problem without using some kind of shell or script workaround.

Think I have found an answer. Navigate to the file that causes the Open File - Security Warning right click select properties, on the general tab click the Unblock button. Do this for every file that you get this warning for.

This behavior is caused by the AES, every file that has been downloaded with IE, OE, and Outlook is checked for publisher information. If the Publisher Information can not be verified then you get that dialog box. The format of your dialog boxes would suggest that they are Outlook/Outlook Express file attachements that were saved to the hard drive. If they were downloaded using IE then the dialog box would have a check box to unblock the file towards the bottom of the box.
