How to tell when someone else's website updates

Old dude I occasionally buy stuff from finally put a website up a couple years ago.

It's terrible. Mostly just plain text on white background.

No way to search (except using Google and limiting by site/domain).

There are about 20 different dirs off of the top-level page, where he lists products by manufacturer. When he gets new product in, sometimes he'll edit an existing subpage; sometimes he'll create a new one.

I mostly keep to one or two of the higher-end manufacturers, so it's not a problem to go the 1-2 specific page(s) daily or occasionally weekly.

But I would like to know when other parts of the site I am less interested in get updated, because sometimes he posts some deals that are hard to pass up.

I would LOVE to be able to subscribe to an RSS feed of his website... he updates a page, and I get a notification in my Google Reader (this is how I handle all of the blogs I read, some of which only update once every five or six months).

Alas, he doesn't have an RSS feed. I'm honestly lucky he has a webpage.

I would just like to know if there's anything out there... like an RSS aggregator meets Google Alerts... that I can tell it to "watch this website!" and then have it tell me when a page or pages gets updated, a page gets added... or basically any change is made to his website.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

 

I've used ChangeDetection.com. They just send an email when the specified site page changes. That's the only time you'll hear from them. It's free.
