Hi all. I posted this question on the Software section but couldn't get help, hope someone here knows.

I have a USB flash that was apparently part of a program installed on my pc. I am told that it was used as a key in order for the program to work. I can’t access it, I get a "Please insert a disk" message and I can’t right click on it, even though I see it on “My computer” window.

Is there a way to unlock it so as to use it? I also would like to keep the files in it in case of future use.

Is there anything on the drive you need?

If not there is a format utility you can download, install and run that will format the drive and once again allow use. Please note doing this will erase everything on the drive.

    Download the utility HERE.

Have you checked the manufacturers website ?
Would be helpful if you posted the brand and model of the flashdrive.
