    At the command prompt, type netstat -a.

    You can download Armor2net Personal Firewall .
    It has a "Net State" function which can show the currently active connections and the details of these connections, including Remote Address/Port, Local Application/Port, Protocol and Status.

    I had the same problem some days ago but now it disappeared.
    Hope this helps!

    I tried typing netstat -a at the command prompt to view any current connections on my pc, but the command prompt pops us, runs through the series and then disappears. How can I stop this from closing, so that I can actually view the connections?

    I am running a Linksys notebook adapter wireless G to an access point, and can see another wireless connection on my Linksys control panel "site survey." Can I assume this is malicious? I don't believe our wkpc54g wireless g router has the capability for any sort of encryption. (our ssid, however, does contain around 20 mixed characters) I apparently didn't do enough research when I bought my router.

    Start -> Run -> Cmd -> Netstat -a

    Sounds like you left out the Cmd that's all? Welcome to Major Geeks BTW.

    As Farbib stated you can't run 16-bit apps from the RUN box and view them as well when you are in the normal Windows environment. for those START > RUN > cmd /k XXXXXX where XXX is the command you want.
    For example:
    cmd /k netstat -a press [OK]
    ;)

    you should also double check the router interface, even the cheapest router should offer wep.
