How To Wipe A Hdd With Only A 1.44 Mb Floppy Drive For Input

I want to wipe my old Windows 95 desktop computer to give to someone from Freecycle who tinkers. It has a CD-ROM drive that no longer seems to work, so my only input is via a floppy disk. DBAN is too large to fit on a floppy, and DANGER requires me to write a load of DOS code. Can someone tell me the right steps to take, e.g. is simply formatting the C:\ drive good enough, and reinstalling Win95? I don't want anyone to retrieve my personal stuff.

The HDD is partitioned into C:\ - 1.96 Gb, of which 514 Mb is used and 1.46 Gb free
and D:\ - 203 Mb, of which 168 Mb is used and 34.9 Mb free

 

I used Bleachbit to wipe my old XP computer - it wiped it clean.

 

Remove the HDD and destroy it.

 

Why not just swap out the CD-Rom for a new one.If it's a Parallel ATA cable should be pretty simple.
