Is there a way to stop Windows XP/sp-2 from remembering every search query and url typed in? I use Google as my home page if it matters.confused

I believe that you can set the length of time that IE keeps a history of sites visited to zero; that will stop all the URL's and sites you visit from being recorded. Go to Control Panel > Internet Options and it should be right there under the General tab; the default is 20 days, set it to zero. But as for the search queries, I'm sure there's a registry key that can be changed to take of that.... a little bit of Googling should provide an answer....

I've got ccleaner, run it regularly, but when I start to type something if I've made a entry starting with that letter I get a drop down type menu(?) with all the entries with the same first letter. I seem to remember some time a go there was a way to stop that but I can't find anything on it now. Tried GOOGLE and MS knowledge base.
