    how do you go about checking the temp of your computer?

    Use a program like sandra or other temp monitoring program. Or do it the old fashend way and open your case and feel your heatsink lol ;)

    thanks ace , used sandra and temps run at 35c for board and 48c for cpu is that normal for system.

    yeah thats good temps ( i got a 1.4 runing 1.5ghz ~50C ) id love to have your temps :) ............BTW you should run mem and fsb at the sam Mhz ;)

    What ACE is recommending is that, in your BIOS, you have a setting under Advanced Chipset features (where you can adjust the CPU's FSB) that sets the ratio for your RAM to the FSB of your processor. depending on what motherboard you have, the setting should be set at either 100%, or 1:1.

    I have heard that, by running the FSB of the RAM on the same setting as the CPU, you get the best throughput because they copliment eachother, running the same speed. (the Ram is not waiting for the CPU to send more data). HOWEVER, I have also seen benchmarks where, when the RAM is run at asynchronous speeds (a higher FSB than the CPU), it performs much better. Research your Ram for your motherboard for best results.
