How was my weekend you ask?

you think your weekend sucked?

first sat. i went to the race and it was called because of rain so Sunday we tried again we made it through the race no problems and got to watch the 100lap race i watched it up until a guy was knock out COLD for about 10mins from getting hit in the side when he turned around.

Monday nothing happen but Monday night my brother thrown a fit and tried to break a piece of wood 1inch thick over my head because he wanted to use the phone (1am) and i was still on the internet. (who knew dial up could hurt this bad ) well i blocked it with my hand and it broke in half over my pinky knuckle (damn it still hurts i need to go get it X-rayed and see if its broke i finely got him to leave after he tried to knock my computer off my desk (people who know me knows that my computer is like my baby you mess with it and you got alot of pain comming) & cut my phone line so i called the cops for the wood thing to scare him away ( he ran like a little girl). and to top it off i have to take him to and from work and i got no say so. so tell me how did your weekend suck? oh yea btw somehow during the wood thing he got a blow off on the side of my head and i don't remember him hitting me in the head maybe its from when the piece of wood broke in half maybe the piece that flew off hit me and i did not know it.....

he has been like this from the time he came back from FL 2weeks ago every nite has been like that.

he has some type of rage disorder one little thing will set him off he is mean like the devil to me and my mother but he is as nice as can be to other people. i tried to tell him i would be off in like 2mins because i had to get done with something and thin i would be off and he would not hear a word of it. and he started.

ok so he just woke up (1pm) and asked/told me to give him a cig and i told him to buzz off and reminded him what he did last nite. thin he said that this friday he was going back to FL (good luck star ) and that before he went he would distroy anything of mine thats avalue to me... what should i do? besides wait in my room with a loaded 22 or a gut buster? i cant keep my door locked because he will just kick it in.... What should i do?

well lets see i am 21 and hes 23 and we cant get any type of help for him. when he came back up here he had just got out of jail for almost killing someone with a mag flash light he wont take any meds and i have to hide mine because he will take all that he can at once and that means about 50 or more. we dont know what to do for him before he came up here me and alot of other people tried to talk my mother into not letting him here but nope she thought he would be fine. hmm yea right.


edit....i tried the cops and got no help but do you need a emt or hold on let me have a cop call you :X

 

Contact his Parole Officer NOW, before either you or your Mom get hurt, time for sympathy is when he is getting treatment, not now.

 

When I was 12, my brother and I got a brand new Sega Master system. I couldn't beat a level of a game(I forget the name but it was close to 3d for the time, you could see your guy and stuff came rushing at you(tip of my tongue))
Anyhoo, I threw the controller across the room to turn around and see my brother smack me with a piece of 2x4 from our dads shop!!
Crap, well that hurt! I layed there a moment and noticed he came and told on me, he was crying like a little baby( I was well cursing ) lol, i got grounded!
moral of the story is.. next time duck! Also keep pepper close at hand, so you show more tears. The world just loves a good sob story

You have a very scary brother NJ. Love and family commitment only go so far, and he sounds seriously dangerous. I don't know what he's got going in Florida, but the sooner he's back there the better off you'll be.

If the local cops aren't interested (not much surprise there), I'd definitely try BCG's advice and call his parole officer, I assume he has one, although that might not get you much leverage either.

In the mean time, I'd move the computer and anything else you value to a friends house until he leaves.

I'd also try to get a restraining order to keep him away from your home. If he returns, a restraining order will give the cops some motivation to actually come and get him.

Sometimes you just cant tell. I'm serious, sometimes you just can't! Doesn't mean thats not whats wanted I know!

 

Restraining orders dont work on him and his po well he dont have a po the dumb guy drop the charges on my brother.....

i see he tried to pick my gun safe but did not get in it (now i cant even get in it because of him) no guns in it tho because i only got things he might beable to throw init like my cam's remotes what ever

You mentioned medication NJ. I am not asking for details, that's personal, but if your bro has a mental health diagnosis, you may be able to use this to bring the cops in or have him sectioned if he is being a danger to himself or others, which it sounds like he is.

 

me and my mother has been talking about that because he is a danger not only to me or her but to him self and all others

he has caused so much pain to me my mother and well the whole family that if he was to go and never be seen again i would not care he has been that bad to me that i really dont care about him nomore i know it sounds abit cold hearted of me but thats how bad he has been my whole life i cant not remember one nice thing he has ever done for me all i know of him is pain....


damn my hand still hurts. should i go and get it x-rayed? i am afrad if i leave he will be right back in my room digging and looking for stuff to take

NJ.....if he does have an illness, try to keep in mind that it is the illness that causes him to react in a violent way. It may help you to not get embroiled with bitterness toward him. To bring in medical help will actually be the best thing you can do for him, if this is a health issue.

You should go get your hand xrayed. Things are just things, and if he does trash them, it is not as important as your health and safety. I would ask your Mom to go with you too, simply so that she is not home alone with your brother and at risk. She may not want to leave either, so play it up that you need her support to go to the hospital, so she feels needed. Yes, it's an "abuse" of a mother's love, but for her own safety, which must be your priority right now.

 

If he has medication then he has a diagnosed disorder and a doctor.

Have the DOCTOR call the police and bring him to the hospital, they can hold him involuntarily for 72 hrs. That should keep him until he goes back to FL.

month and a half ago one went crazy in montreal. Funny thing is, is in Canada you need big steps to be alowed those weapons. This young lad went through a years training how to use the weapon, plus was screened by familly and friends+++++. I'm mostly honest, and not even I could get a gun. The law gave this boy a gun leagaly so he could murder students.ok I suppose guns dont kill people, people do, but why would you want them there in the first pl,ace, my goodness

NJ, living with people with severe mental health disorders can be Hell. The mental illness can have a devastating effect on everyone around them, that's one of the hallmarks of psychosis.

As said, the first priority is to protect yourself, your mom, and your property. By what I've read, it's up to your mom basically to bite the bullet, and do whatever is necessary in order to protect herself and you. That will involve first removing your brother from the premises. If he's not a usual occupant and is ordered to leave by the owner (mom), then it becomes a police matter, as is protecting yourself from bodily harm. That's supposedly a prime function of the police force - to protect.

Basically, you'll need to have good, long talk with your mom to devise some sort of strategy plan, before a tragedy results. That's about the best advice I can give, without actually being there.
