Saturday I spent making baked goodies.....mmm...some english and american stuff to satisfy every taste! Sunday we headed out with the drift boat onto the McKenzie fishing (with lots of the baked goodies!). Salmon and steelhead weren't biting, but we got a heap load of trout. Would have been double the amount, but half we had to throw back as they were natives.

    So, how was your weekend?

Lev, you are my kind of gal. Got out a little while Saturday and caught a few bass, nothing to brag about.

    BTW I'm a good dancer. :)

Was that sea bass or river? (I'm guessing river, as you are in Tennesse) I love bass! Fishing is just so cool...I love it!

We got checked out by the river cops (that's a new one for me!)...nice friendly guys......they even let me take a photo so I could send back to my boys in England hehe

I love to dance too Steve......wanna boogie down the river with me...see who falls in first? lol

I have a trick knee, it's an old bossa nova injury. :D

We caught about 7 largemouth and 2 smallmouth. One of the smallmouth was about 3lbs. Not bad. On the reservoir mainly, we usually don't head up the river unless we have plenty of time.

Sure is pretty up there, nice photo's.

I am absolutely confident I did something this weekend. I mean, I must have, right? The trouble is, I can't remember a darn thing.

Perhaps there were too many adult beverages involved... :D

Getting ready to start braiding some leather strap for the hand grip...

Quiet weekend overall, which I needed. Spent 3 hours playing City Of Heroes online with my son, his wife, and a friend Saturday evening, which was great.

I am so fortunate to be living here where I can easily enjoy the great outdoors without too much effort. It was hard not being able to get out much for a few months because of my surgery.....now I'm making the most of it before the winter months creep upon us again :D

Another photo for you to enjoy....

    That's beautiful country Lev. :)

I bought an aluminum boat last year just so I could fish more in the rivers.

Smart plan Steve! We are fortunate in that we can use one of our neighbor's boats. He's had a couple of recent strokes and a diagnosis of alzheimers, which has left him unable to drive and go fishing any more. So we just hitch up his boat to our rig and take him along with us. With help he's still physically able to enjoy it, so we figured while he still can, he should come with us :D It's a win-win situation for us all.

Friday night, we set up the gazebo my wife's sister gave for helping out at her daughter's wedding last weekend (I did dishes for a hundred people. You should've seen the cutlery). Saturday we set up the new patio furniture my wife rushed out to buy to go with the new gazebo. Got the pool offically open, (84F), and cleaned up the decks and patio. Assembled the new lounge chairs for the front deck that my wife rushed out to buy to match the new furniture that resides in the new gazebo. Sunday, burned the crap out of my back doing yardwork. What an idiot. Oh well, the aloe vera backrubs aren't too bad.;) And finally, despite the sunburn we got out on the bikes now the mosquitos have diminished somewhat in numbers.

Had my best friend, his wife and my sister, all came up for the weekend. First guests in the new house!!!! Friday night we had our first formal sit down dinner at the new dining room table, and saturday, went to the farmers market, and just kind of ran around town aimlessly!! Saturday night we all watched Pink Panther and Undercover Brother (surprisingly hilarious!!) then sunday morning we made up some homemade biscuits and gravy to fill the their tummies before they left for the ever so exciting 6 hr drive home!!

Every time I hear you are spending time with your son, my heart smiles. Glad things are going well.

My weekend was spent helping the sister- in- law reshingle her garage, swimming in our pool, then getting very bad news about a friend of ours being in a semi accident out in Montana. He has been transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Wa, so is very far from home. His wife and daughters are there with him now. Please send some thoughts his way. He is in critical, but stable condition.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend, gal. What a terrible shock to the family and friends. I hope he maintains his stable condition and makes a speedy and full recovery *hugs*

Makes mine smile too. They're in Ohio, and we can still spend the evening playing/chatting together. Love the internet. :)

Will send a few prayers their way. No doubt a difficult time for all of them. Hopefully he'll make a full and quick recovery.
