hp 7350 driver

    I've started using a new computer, systemax venture SYX-G31M3-LV2, with vista home premium 64 bit. I ran the install disc from my HP7350 printer and the computer tells me it can't find the driver. In checking this issue on the internet, HP's website tells me to install their deskjet 5550 driver to use instead. After doing this my computer offers 2 different 5550's to choose from. I've done them both and neither works. any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi

    Try this as at times the ones on CD are old and if their was issues with the autorun on many HP driver disks on Vista in which you needed to open the disk up manually and find the setup file and double click it over the graphical menu that pops up and see if that installs the driver.

    If not as their is no driver listed for Vista for the Photosmary 7350 then try this HERE (if you already tried this then sorry)

    Could then try the Xerox Global Driver HERE as can help in these situations, its a basic driver.

    thanks halo for the input. will give it a go and hope for the best. otherwise it's more buy, buy ,buy :cry for a more up to date printer.

    Halo, I finally got it (the driver)going. this time when I did the hp5550 driver install as recommended by hp I realized I had missed something in their instructions. I had to change the port from lpt1 to dot4. After that everything seems to function just fine. Just thought I would give you a update incase anyone else should have this problem.
