HP 8440p not booting

    I just bought a used motherboard off ebay and Seller had excellent feedback said the motherboard was tested and working fine. When I installed motherboard and connected to power all I get is flashing lights about keyboard. Nothing on screen at all. Any thoughts? I am pretty sure everything else is fine as I pulled it from a board that had an issue after I flashed the bios.

    Blinking flashing light are caps and num lock. The blinking caps and numlock are a diagnostic feature of the HP 8440P Notebook ( and others ). Depending on the combination it can be a number of different symptoms. Here is the list of HP led codes to find what is wrong with the laptop. http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph07107#AbT1
