I am using memorex cd-r 52x700mbsx80min. During a burn out of 21 songs when 17 of them finished I got a "Buffer Underrun", I have found out what that means.

My writer is an hp cd writer8200e plus. it has three write speeds, 4x600kb-2x300kbs and 1x150kbs. I burned the discs using 4x600, assuming that is the slowest speed. Someone suggested that I need to use a slower speed or different discs. I am no sure what all the number "52" means.

Unfortunately, I traded cp's with my son to get more disk space on the hard drive and my old cp had a sony cd writer and I had installed nero cd burning ROM with which I had not have any difficulties with.

    Would appreciate replies

    Thanks!!

The slowest speed for your burner is 150kbs. As you weren't far from completing the burn, dropping the burn rate to 2x (300kbs) will probably do the trick.

The number "52" refers to the maximum burn speed for the disk. (Certainly not applicable in your case)
