HP dv6604nr downgrade vista to xp-issues

Hi, thanks in advance for your help. It's been months now and I still can't seem to get it to work. I've searched and searched and tried and tried. Please help. However, there is good news. Just today the computer started beeping when Sygate denied access. I installed chipset 12.15 nForce 520 winxp32 english whql, today. I've attached the required files as per your instructions.

I am unable to upload SIW file in html format.

I'm running xp pro sp2 on a HP dv6604nr laptop which used to have Vista on it. I installed xp with no problem, twice. I have access to internet via Linksys wireless Wusb54GC.

 

Intel has a download to check your intel drivers--Automatically identify and find drivers is underlined and clicking will install the driver checker

I would also disable all security software until you have the machine running as you want it to.

No security software on comp as of yet. I'll check the intel link. Nothing,in the past anyway works from the HP site, audio tried before and after chipset install. Beeping is no longer sounding when Sygate announces something blocked. Everything I tried yesterday was 'sound' solutions to no avail. Every time I try to install 'sound' driver I get a message that says, the media device for this software cannot be found.

 

Intel--"this device is unknown or unsupported; contact the manufacturer"
