I have a problem with a wireless connection on my HP laptop with a built-in Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Net Network card. I am using one of my friends Lynksys Wireless signal in his house which is about 10 feet away from me, I tried all I could think of to try and repair while I was right beside it. My wireless connection connects to it, but it shows that it is 'Not Connected' but it actually is, I keep the connection for it for about 10 to 20 minutes then it turns off and resets sorta off... I have to refresh my current usable wireless connections, then it reconnects. Still showing 'Not Connected' but once again as always, it still is connected. I am just wondering if anyone has any idea of how to keep a steady wireless connection...

Is your HP laptop a Pavilion dv6000 series? Is so, there is a problem with this model and it should go back to HP for repair if it is still under guarantee. If you go to the HP Forum, you will read thousands of posts regarding this very problem. I had the same problem and my PC has just gone back to HP for repair. (I really hope they can fix it!)
