I have an hp pavilion a720n.....

    The Memory Specs are......

    Ram (installed) 512 MB (1X512MB)
    Maximum allowed 1 GB (2 x 512MB)
    Speed supported PC2700 MB/sec
    Type 184 pin, DDR1-333 SDRAM
    DIMM slots Two
    Open slots = One available

The "Motherboard Ram Slot" Specs are.....

    Memory 2 x 184-pin DDR DIMM sockets
Support up to maximum 2 GB memory (PC manufacturer's maximum memory may differ) ..
Supports unbuffered PC2700/2100 non-ECC DDR SDRAM memory

ok, so motherboard says OK to use max 2GB Ram.. HP says use 1G max.. The unit has a 512 and an open slot. I was going to put a 1G in the open slot making it a 1.5G unit.. Will this be ok?
    Thank You
