HP Pavillion slow down

My HP Pavillion has slowed down a lot. Mainly when trying to open programs it takes a while for them to fully open and run. I had loaded and run Spybot - Search and Distroy but TrendMicro suggested to run, remove the protection and then I uninstalled the program.
I have downloaded, ran, and attached a log from HiJackThis program by TrendMicro.
If anyone could help with suggestions on getting my laptop running better that would be great.

When we're looking for malware, we don't rely solely on HijackThis because it doesn't give us enough information. I suspect, looking at your log, that you have too much running on your computer, and there may be some background scans going on that are increasing the work load. Did the problems start when you installed a certain piece of software?

If you think there might be malware, you can continue on with the instructions in the READ & RUN ME FIRST


In any case, I would recommend that you go to the above link and find CCleaner and download and run it according to the instructions it if youi don't already have it. Be sure that there is nothing you want to keep in your temp files as these will be deleted.
