This is what it had to say about System Recovery before I began.

    System Recovery

The PC Recovery program, in this normal default mode of operation, recovers applications, drivers and the Operating System to their factory-shipped condition. Accordingly, after PC Recovery finishes, you need to re-install and re-configure any application that you installed yourself (including upgrades or revisions to the factory-shipped version of any application).
However, the PC Recovery, in this normal default mode of operation will not delete any DATA FILES that you created.

I did the same exact thing. I ran a system recovery on an HP 111oY and now everything that was installed on it like printers and ACT, and quicken got deleted. Is it possible to reverse a system recovery? My files are all there. I need to know if these softwares can be found again, because all the data that I lost on them are in my work computer. I lost all contact information that belongs to my boss. PLease help someone...Can you reverse a system recovery???

Basically what system restore does is it removes system partition (usually partition C), and then overwrite it with copy of that partition made at the time when laptop was produced. It's like you replace your old disk with new one. Every data, files are lost.

It's hard to believe you have all your programs still intact. You probably store it on another partition which is very uncommon I must say. If you have your emails on system partition, there's no way you can get is back. Sorry.
