    Hello,
I am having an issue with a popup saying that I need to reinstall the HPProductAssistant which doesn;t seem to want to go away. After searching other forums, I can;t get a sense for whether this is spyware or a virus or just simply something wrong with the software for my HP printer that I downloaded. Perhaps related, my internet explorer has been inexplicably slow in loading webpages. This obviously could be something completely different, but I thought I'd mention it in case it's something you guys have seen before as being related to whatever this HPProductAssistant issue is.
    Thank you guys so much...
    -David

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

You are posting in the wrong forum for this. HP software is not a malware problem. You should post in the Software Forum, but have you uninstalled, rebooted and then reinstalled the software.

A HijackThis log is not going to help you with this.
