My desktop computer has been infected with the HSA spyware code. I use a laptop over a wireless network that is shared with my desktop for cable internet access. I also have a shared folder on my desktop that I have mapped on my laptop. What is the danger that my laptop could get infected with the HSA spyware directly from from desktop?

I have not actually heard of too many cases being reported where HSA spread via shared drives. But most people have no idea how or where the got the problem to begin with. So there is still a possibility that this could be a bad thing to do while your Desktop is infected. Make sure at a minimum that your laptop is fully up to date with Windows patches and security fixes and that you have current versions of the following software
    - firewall
    - antivirus
    - spyware blocking

You really need to fix your Desktop.
