Https For Majorgeeks.com?

This is a question and a suggestion. Is majorgeeks.com considering moving to https? Thanks for any and all replies. I'm a huge fan of this site.

my only thought here concerns all of the screenshots people post ( or the got a funny pic ones ) ,
many of them [ including those from myself ] don't come from an https url.
would we get endless pop ups concerning insecure content being displayed?? or ???
for me, i have had a personal website forever that i upload pics to and just link from there.
i don't really know much about this area, in any sense, it's just a thought that sprung into my mind.

 

Is HTTPS Everywhere perhaps a solution from the user's side?

AFAIK, that works only with sites that offer/have https available.

Selling, I would have an issue with. You'd only sell it to someone you can trust,but you can't control change of ownership or values of the buyer. But I've been assuming that is one of the reasons you won't sell user info to anyone, so that really isn't a concern either..
