Hubs

    Hello,

    I need help with an HP advance stack HUB J2600a, I received the hub from another branch of our company and it worked, but I am trying to get it to work with no luck,I know that the uplink switch is normally port 1, but nothing happens, I've tried to connect the HUB to a pc via a serial cable (rs-232) but am not sure of the commands to get to talk to the hub,

    Any ideas anyone,

    You need to find uplink port on hub. Connect a cable (RJ45) from NIC in PC to uplink port. If hub does not have an uplink port, look for the last port, (usually has no x underneath and connect there).


    I'll do a bit of research on that particular hub and get back to you.
