Huge spyware attack

I'm having trouble removing some spyware, i don't know what the name is, i know how it came into my pc. i downloaded a program that said it would remove the Windows Genuine thingy in the taskbar, of course nothing happened, and i've been getting incredibly annoying popups since then, it has also disabled my regedit and my task manager and changed the homepage on my pc (i managed to bring it back to yahoo as before). it also removed the run button and disabled the command prompt.

i have used norton for scanning (nothing found)
i have pest patrol installed, its not finding anything
i have ad aware on, it detected some pests but nothing that stopped this annoying thing. i have adwatch enabled and its killing off the ads that are popping but this is a temp solution.

how should i proceed from here?

Please follow the steps below:

- Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

- Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis:
