Humor a newbie?

    I did a quick search and didn't see this, so I figured I'd ask.

    What are your opinions of No Adware? ( www.noadware.net )

    I have been coming here for a few years for downloads and such and have read the info on the boards! You people are a pretty knowledgeable and sharp lot! I'm glad I pulled my thumb out and finally registered....... :)

    Well, older versions of this program are known for false detections. However, the newest update V3.0 I think it is, those issues were resolved.

    From experience with the program it does somewhat a good job in the removal of certain infections. I wouldnt stick with it as protection/removal, I would have others like Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware SE. Overall it does ok, but to me its not worth buying.

    Thanks for the reply. :)

    I have Ad Aware already and Spybot, however Spybot seesm to never find anything, if I run ad aware first that is. It used to find things Ad Aware did not. Granted both are the free versions though....

    I went and got No Adware and it found something like 38 reg keys that Ad Aware did not..so I guess I am happy with it. :cool:

    Microsoft anti-spyware beta seems to work well. IMHO, along the lins of what Bjgarrick said, is that there are some top notch products out there, the rest are usually sub par compared with the best in definition updates, reliable detection and removal:

    I have lost faith in spybot as of late, the updates are slow and the bugs that have existed for a very long time are yet to be addressed. Im hoping we can pull this one from reccomended once Microsoft releases theirs as final.
