Hypothetical Workstation system

I'm going through Newegg putting together a wish list of what my ultimate workstation computer would be. I use Solidworks 2007 at the moment everyday for my job.

My question is, would a program like that benefit from a dual graphics card motherboard setup. I have the following products picked out for a total cost of $3,288.

As I don't think I could ever convince my boss to spend that much on a MB, CPU, and two video cards alone, without even adding the cost of the rest of the system components, this isn't a question that my life is hanging in the balance on. I'm really just curious. Anyone with workstation experience know the answer to my question?
