I Am Confused, Which Is A Better Choice?

Hey guys,
Not sure if this is the right place at all, but here's hoping.

I know choice is a matterof opinion, however I need a hand.
Haven't bought a new phone in a while, and currently have a Samsung Galaxy J7 after my S3 mini passed away :/

I have the option to get an Samsung Galaxy A40 or a Moto G7 Plus.
Since I am used to Galaxy's, I don't know which would be a better choice. Both have good specs (as far as I can understand them, that is. The modern day techical things move far too fast for me to keep up with), and the interface is fairly identical from what I have seen. However, as I said, I can't find much pros and con's about either of them so comparing is -for me- just comparing side by side and the specs have to do it, which are confusing for me as they don;t tell me much.

Was wondering, if any of you could be of help.

The two phones are very similar.
But, overall, the Moto has slightly better specs. What stands out are the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, Fast battery charging 27W vs 15W. Although it costs about 50EURO more, I think it's worth it.
Both phones have a non-removable battery.

What I briefly did see, was that the Motorola has an aluminium body, which I like a lot, knowing I can be a bit.. ehm.. clumsy (will always use a protective cover anyway - jsut inc ase).

The non-removable battery seems to be a hype these days.. guess they have to earn cash somehow *sigh*

It's a great site to compare phones. But, take the reviews with a pinch of salt - there are always those criticizing trolls.

Reviews are often a bit.. trollish, some people sold their soul to a specific brand it seems, thus all other brands are devilish XD I generally tend to check the 3* reviews more, as they usually have pro's and con's listed unlike most of the 5* reviews.

Opted for the G7 plus, and already totally like it!
Made a little slow motion video of one of my budgies shaking his feathers, and it turned out better than I hoped.
Device is quite easy to use, has nice extras in place but am not using those yet, want to know the basics first hahaha No regrets thus far.
