okay i know i'm doing something wrong but i just can't figure out what.

i am trying to upload a video to a website and every time i try it times out and says the file was not received. the upload meter doesn't move at all.

the support staff on the site told me to email the picture to them. i confirmed my gmail address with them, attached the video, tried to send the email and same thing happens. the upload times out!

i have tried this with Mozilla Firefox and Netscape Navigator. i don't want to resort to trying it with IE!

i am running Windows XP with SP2, 1.28 GB RAM

I have Sygate Firewall and Antivir, but I also tried uploading with these disabled. I'm totally lost here. please help a dummy out.

The file you are trying to send might exceed the email attachment limit imposed by your ISP. If that is the case, you might find this link useful:
    http://www.dropload.com/
It's a freebie but they happily accept donations.

    Regards, Bluheeler.

nah, the video is 8.9 MB and Gmail says I can attach up to 10 MB.

and why would it also time out when I try to upload directly? i can FTP fine, I just can't upload directly to any website. it's so weird
