I can burn data cds ok, but not audio cds

Hi there,
I'm still wrestling with this.
I can burn data cds but not audio.
CDBXP has helped me isolate the issue...I think.
When I start to try to add files for a data burn, the files load in (on the green bar) at the bottom just fine.
When I try just the same data, on just the same disc for an audio burn, CDBXP immediately says 'data exceeds the size of the media'.
How can this be???!!
Can anyone help please?

PS I have tried burning audio direct from XP - it says no disc in drive. I have tried other progs like Alcohol and Deep Burner - no joy
I have also read hundreds of posts!!!
