I Can Only Run In Safe Mode

NEED HELP PLEASE.... i press power button, computer comes on, then i get a blue screen and ask Choose a Boot Device or f4 to exit. then i come to the screen where it ask too choose which mode. i pick norml mode window O/S loads and it says check file and do not cancell and at the top it saids somelike ntaf volume something or other. scared to reboot now. then it saids check disk file was canceled and then i get a blackscreen with nothing but my pointer. turn-off, reboot and go thur the same mess but this time pick safe mode and works in safe mode. will not let me defrag but will let me clean disk in which i have done. i've went run>file> msconfig but can't get to work in norml mode. sucks cause i have NO volume in safe mode.
