i cant get ripped dvd's to burn any suggestions

i have clone dvd that i use to rip and roxio creator v.9 and when i try to birn the ripped dvd i find that the audio and video are in seperate ts files and cant combine them to put sound with the video do i need a secondary program to do this or am i just doing it wrong. im not that computer savy so im learnning as i go any suggestions?

 

When the DVD is ripped to your hard drive, you should have two folders: AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS. The AUDIO_TS folder is usually empty and the VIDEO_TS folder will have a three different types of files: .VOB files (these are the actual videos); .IFO files (these are information files about chapters, features, maybe subtitles and stuff like that); and .BUP files (these are simply backups of the IFO files; why do we need 'em? who knows, but that's how it is). If you have all these files and folders, all you should have to do is to select the AUDIO_TS folder and the VIDEO_TS folder and burn 'em to a blank DVD. Even though the AUDIO_TS folder is most likely totally empty, it must be added to the project regardless. Keep in mind, a full featured movie when ripped can be over 8gb with the commentaries, features, separate audio tracks, etc, and this won't fit on a standard blank DVD, you'd need a DVD-DL (DL=dual layer). Standard DVDs only hold about 4500mb (a bit less actually) and DVD-DLs hold about 8500mb (a bit more actually).

 

ive tried to add the audio ts file to the burn list and it tells me i cant that it isnt a media file or something like that
