I cant open MS Word 2003

I'm hoping someone might be able to give me a solution to my problem. When I was attempting to open a saved MS Word document, I was getting an error message saying "the file xxxxx .doc is not available". I have been to the MS help center and tech support site with no help. I have attempted to open my other MS Word documents and I come accross the same problem. Thanks if anyone can help.

 

If you are using Norton AV then go to Norton Options and in the Miscellaneous section turn off "Enable Office Plug-in".

See if that does it.

Steve thanks for replying. I'm using Norton AV Corporate edition. I didnt see Norton Options. Please let me know if there is somewhere else I should be looking. Thanks

Still no luck Steve. I followed the prompts for the Norton AV Corporate editon.

 

Look under the Office Help feature and select Detect and Repair.
