I can't remove trojanhunter

    AntiVir identified but couldn't remove some infected archive files from my computer.

    In the process of trying to fix this, I attempted to download trojanhunter from the majorgeeks link. The download failed. When I tried to download again trojanhunter wouldn't download over the previously aborted files. I tried to delete the offending files (contmenu.dll, THSec.dll, unrar.dll, unzdll.dll, THGuard) I could'nt delete them or move them to another folder.

    It appears that the program I wanted to use to prevent hijack of my system has hijacked my system.

    How can I:
    (1) PERMANTLY delete all traces of trojanhunter and forget I ever heard of it and
    (2) remove infected achive files.

    I believe you mean the install failed not the download. Is that correct?

    Did you try to uninstall using Add/Remove programs? You should not just attempt to delete files unless an uninstall would not work.
