i cant remove virtumundo virus

i have folllowed all 8 steps suggested. adware se finds it and claims to remove it but doesnt as does virtu begone.exe. explorer also restarts randomly and wont start in safe mode. any help would be amazing. thank you in advance michael

Please make sure System Restore is OFF.

Please print these instructions out for use in Safe Mode.

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.

• Double-click VundoFix.exe to extract the files
• This will create a VundoFix folder on your desktop.
• After the files are extracted, please reboot your computer into Safe Mode. You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode then hit enter.
• Once in safe mode open the VundoFix folder and doubleclick on KillVundo.bat
• You will first be presented with a warning and a list of forums to seek help at.

• At this point press enter one time.
• Next you will see:

• At this point please type the following file path (make sure to enter it exactly as below!):

C:\WINDOWS\system32\khhhe.dll

• Press Enter, then press the F6 key, then press Enter one more time to continue with the fix.
• Next you will see:

• At this point please type the following file path (make sure to enter it exactly as below!):

C:\WINDOWS\system32\ehhhk.*​

• Press Enter, then press the F6 key, then press Enter one more time to continue with the fix.
• The fix will run then HijackThis will open.
• In HiJackThis, please place a check next to the following items and click FIX CHECKED:

 

thank you for your advise but it dosnt seem to work. i followed the instructions exactly. this was not easy as explorer would only open up for a few seconds in safe mode before restarting.

 

Please download Vundo3

Once you have downloaded it please unzip it to your desktop.

Once unzipped please open the vundo3 folder and double click killvundo.bat.

Let it run and follow the onscreen commands.

Once your computer reboots please post a new hijackthis log and the vundofix.txt from inside the vundo3 folder.

 

it cant find the file

 

It's definitely there.

Now please download VundoFix222.exe

Follow the directions for Running Spy Sweeper.

Post the Spy Sweeper log and a fresh HijackThis log when finished.
